Morning Talk: Saint Carlo Acutis: His Way to be a Saint Today
Afternoon Talk: Saint Carlo Acutis: His Miracles and Graces
After serving in the Vatican Curia as a Spiritual Director in seminaries around the world and as a Church commentator for global media networks, Monsignor Anthony Figueiredo is now fulfilling a lifelong dream: immersing himself in the lives of the saints. Based in his home Diocese of Assisi, Italy, where he serves as Director of International Affairs, he has firsthand knowledge of the saints who walked those sacred streets. He also contributes to the EWTN Global Catholic Network as a Rome Bureau Senior Contributor.
Appointed by the Archbishop of Assisi to carry the relics of Saint Carlo Acutis throughout the world, Monsignor Figueiredo will travel from Assisi to accompany the saint’s Pericardium Relic and speak about the first millennial saint. The relic will be available for veneration at the Basilica, where he will pray with and for all in attendance.
Through this mission, he shares Carlo’s message and explores how the young saint followed in the footsteps of Saint Francis and Saint Clare, inspiring people of all ages and backgrounds to pursue holiness themselves.
Monsignor Figueiredo is the author of the best-selling book Carlo Acutis, Saint of the Young: His Life, His Miracles, His 5 Steps to Being a Saint.
