Mark Houck, Co-Founder & President of The King’s Men, is an author, lecturer, radio host, pro-life activist, and passionate Catholic. The mission of The King’s Men has enabled Mark to minister to men and women all across North America and Europe.
He recently made national news after his dramatic arrest in an early-morning raid at his home by the FBI on September 23, 2022, after a federal indictment that alleged two violations of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act for pushing a man who was harassing his 12-year-old son outside of an abortion facility. Although the prosecution said that Houck pushed the man, who was an abortion escort, in an attempt to interfere with his provision of reproductive health services, Houck testified that he pushed the man to protect his 12-year-old son who was being harassed by the escort. Houck was found NOT GUILTY by a unanimous 12-person jury on both counts of violating the FACE Act.
Since 2006, Mark has been speaking to thousands of men about a variety of topics related to the development of authentic masculinity. Mark has written numerous articles, brochures, and publications on the topics of pornography, homosexuality, abortion, teen sexuality, parenting and masculine spirituality.
In 2008, the USCCB asked him to author a publication on the issue of pornography, which has since been circulated within every diocese in the US.
Prior to launching The King’s Men, Mark was a full-time chastity educator and pro-life activist with Generation Life. Mark has a BA in Human Resource Management from The Catholic University of America and a Master’s degree in Education from Holy Family University.
