Very Reverend Daniel Reehil, V.F., was born on Mineola, New York, on August 4, 1965, to parents Dan and Gladys; he is the oldest of four children. His father was a NYC Fire Chief and his mother was a court reporter after the children were in school. After graduating college from the University of Dayton, he worked in Global Trade and Finance in Manhattan for American Express and Citicorp for 10 years, and then three years as the Sales Director of a Corporate Communications PR Firm.
The seeds of his vocation to the priesthood were planted in 1998, when Fr. Reehil made a pilgrimage to the village of Medjugorje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This was a life-altering trip where he experienced a miraculous conversion after being away from the church for 20 years; the priest who heard his 20-year confession told him that he believed he had a vocation to the priesthood. Father began reflecting on the emptiness of his life and praying for God to lead him.
He began attending seminary, spent five years in a contemplative hermitage, then finished his studies and was ordained to the priesthood on July 26, 2014. Today he serves as a Pastor and exorcist in the Diocese of Nashville, Tennessee. He serves as the National Director of Radio Maria USA, where he has a daily radio program called, “Battle Ready with Fr. Dan Reehil.”
