What is the IWOPF?

The International Week of Prayer and Fasting is a grassroots movement of Catholics and Christians from around the world participating in a global network of prayer and fasting.

What is the International Week of Prayer and Fasting?

The IWOPF brings together people of all ages, backgrounds, and races. From October 12th - October 20th, 2020, we gather to pray for an end to the “culture of death,” and for a newfound appreciation for basic human rights, particularly in the United States of America.

By invoking the help of our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, and by praying the Rosary, we play a crucial role in the conversion of nations and changing the course of world events.

How to Participate

All who are able to participate are invited to join us at the Basilica in Washington, DC for the International Week of Prayer and Fasting Opening Day prayer vigil on Monday, October 12th, 2020. The event is free, however, please register so that IWOPF can anticipate the number of prayer packets to provide for attendees. Register here. 9 am-4:30 pm. Mass at noon.

For those unable to make it to the nation’s capital, you can still participate in a very powerful way! Join our efforts in spirit by making a “Prayer Pledge,” here.
